The Jonckheere group wanted to create a production site in Wallonia
to support its activity of buses manufacturing and Caterpillar wanted
to deal with a cabines supplier located near its factory in Gosselies.
Mutual interest of these two partners is the origin of the CARWALL creation
or in others words « CARrosserie WALLone » in Sombreffe.
Mr. PONLOT, former Caterpillar mananger, and partner of Jonckheere in
1985 is some other commercial businesses, has taken part to the company
and selected as CEO.
First shares were splitted by 40% Jonckheere, 20% SIBS, 20% Sambrinvest
et 20% M. PONLOT. Then, SIBS andSambrinvest shares were bought to make
66% Jonckheere and 33% to Mr. PONLOT.
In 1995 the company was sold to TIM (french company, subisiary of Fritzmeier
